Entry fees: $56 three-day and $55 two-day if received by Oct. 17, $60 at site. Unrated $35, Class E $30. Re-entry: $40 (not available in Expert section). Only Expert through class D entries count toward the 85-player prize base. In six sections. Expert: Open to USCF 2199 through 2000. $500-300. Class A (Open to USCF-rated 1999 through 1800): $475-275. Class B (Open to USCF-rated 1799 through 1600): $450-250. Class C (Open to USCF-rated 1599 through 1400): $425-225. Class D (Open to USCF-rated below 1400 and unrated): $400-200. Class E (Open to USCF-rated below 1200 and Unrated): Trophies to first through seventh places and Under 900 first and second places. Class A through D players may elect to enter the next higher section. The USCF ratings supplement used to determine a player’s official published rating for competition will be the same as the month in which the tournament begins. Three-day schedule: Registration ends Friday, Oct. 18, at 7 p.m., rounds 7:30 p.m. Friday, 2:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m. Saturday; 10 a.m., 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Two-day schedule: Registration ends 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, rounds 10:30 a.m., then merged with three-day schedule. Byes available all rounds (limit two), must request before round 1, no changes afterward. Time controls: Expert 40/90, SD/30, d10. Other sections G/120, d5. In one section, but accelerated pairings will be used: Middle School (K-8), Elementary (K-6), Primary (K-3). Trophies to top five, top unrated, top girl in each class, top three-person team. All participants who do not win a trophy will receive a participation medal. Time controls: G/30 d5. Schedule: Registration ends 11 a.m., rounds 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 4 p.m. Byes available all rounds (limit one), must request before round 1, no changes afterward.
